Village of Aurora discusses 10-year zoning law violation

Residents of a Main Street home in Aurora have been violating the village's zoning law for more than 10 years and fellow residents have had enough.

"I wish I didn't have to do this, but it's been 11 years," said Laura Holland during the public to be heard portion of the village's regular monthly meeting Wednesday night. "I've repeatedly spoken to people in the village government about this: the unpermitted illegal parking at 327 Main St. which started in September 2007," she continued.

Holland said she began sending written and official complaints to the planning board back in 2009, but never heard a response. She continued to reach out to various village officials and code enforcement officers and is dismayed that still nothing has been done about the issue.

Back in 2006, Holland explained, Cynthia Koepp and John Place were given a permit to construct a house.
