Deputies say a 32-year-old Freeville resident was arrested on Saturday following an investigation into public assistance fraud.
Ashleigh R. Warrender, 32, of Freeville was charged with two counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, welfare fraud, and misuse of food stamps.
She is alleged to have not disclosed information required when applying for public assistance in Seneca County.
Warrender was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date.
