Former Syracuse standout Jerami Grant has agreed to a new three-year, $27 million contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski.
Wojnarowski reported the news on Twitter shortly after midnight, the official start of NBA free agency. Grant can agree to his new contract but can not sign it until after July 6 as part of the NBA’s July moratorium.
The deal will make Grant the third-highest-paid-player with Syracuse ties in the NBA, following just Carmelo Anthony and Dion Waiters.
