A dog is getting a new lease on life thanks to specialists at Cornell University.
Lex was found in a sand pit in Africa with his hind legs cut off and infected.
A Maine animal rescue brought Lex to the United States and then to Ithaca. There specialists fitted Lex with a prosthetic for one of his hind legs on Thursday.
The prosthetic company said they have never fitted a two-legged dog before, but specialists think it looks like Lex is already learning how to walk again.
