Thursday will offer one last shot of winter for the Finger Lakes

Wednesday will be a nice day in the Finger Lakes.

It won’t feel like spring yet, but temperatures will moderate slightly — with highs pushing into the 40s, and the chance of precipitation going away almost completely.

All of that will change on Thursday, though, as rain and wet snow returns to the Finger Lakes. While it shouldn’t provide much in the way of accumulation — some of the hilltop locations throughout the region could easily see a dusting to inch of wet, frozen accumulation.

The remainder of the region will see snow showers throughout the day on Thursday, after the general, area-wide precipitation pulls out early-Thursday.

Highs will struggle to break 40 degrees on Thursday. Stay tuned to the FingerLakes1.com Weather Center for the latest on Thursday’s morning commute, which could be a little sloppy.

Changes are coming next week, Finger Lakes! High temperatures will improve greatly over the next 5 to 7 days — with spring finally arriving next week!
