Police: Corning man assaults woman with hockey stick, later found with mobile meth lab

Two Corning men were arrested after authorities located a meth lab while investigating a domestic incident.

William Griffin, 30, is accused of assaulting a woman with a socket stick. She was sent to the hospital with unidentified injuries.

Griffin was later located, along with a 25-year-old passenger — identified as Jacob Woodworth, with a pot-style meth lab inside their car. Police say both are Corning residents.

Both were charged with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine. Griffin was also charged with second- and third-degree assault, as well as third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The two men are being held on $50,000 bail at the Steuben County Jail.
