Waterloo man, Phelps woman sent to area hospitals after Ontario County crash

Deputies say they were called to the scene of a two-car crash in Phelps on Wednesday around 3:06 p.m.

The accident took place at the intersection of County Road 23 and Forthill Road when a vehicle being operated by Linda Aman, 66, of Phelps was traveling north on Forthill and stopped at the ‘stop sign’ at the intersection.

She then proceeded through the intersection, failing to yield the right of way to another vehicle, described as a pickup truck operated by Gene Borys, 63, of Waterloo.



Borys was transported to Geneva General Hospital for complaints of back pain.

A passenger in Aman’s vehicle and was transported to Clifton Springs Hospital. All occupants were wearing seatbelts, according to deputies.

Aman was issued a traffic ticket for failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
