Snow showers possible with cooling temps, but long-term trend stays warm for FLX

There’s a slight risk for some snow showers on Friday, and then again Saturday night — but overall — the region will see colder weather return. However, it won’t stick around for long. Here’s a look at your weekend weather in the Finger Lakes.

– Some mid-day snow showers will be possible on Friday, as temperatures fall through the 30s as the day progresses.

– By evening temperatures will be in the 20s, and falling into the upper-teens for overnight lows.

– Things will warm up on Saturday as high temperatures push into the upper-30s. It will warm up even more on Sunday as high temperatures push into the 40s.

– That warmth is the long-term trend. Forecasters agree that there will be plenty of warmer-than-typical temperatures in the Finger Lakes as we head into next week.

– High temperatures will push well into the 50s by the start of next week, and even approach 60 in some places by mid-week.
