Aurora to hold public meeting Saturday on water issues

The village of Aurora is holding a public meeting on water issues Saturday, with the attendance of an engineering firm and representatives from the Cayuga County Department of Health and the Cayuga County Water and Sewer Authority.

“In the last month the overlapping concerns of keeping Wells’ plant viable and securing a new water provider have become clearer, so it’s now time for us to have a public meeting,” Mayor Bonnie Apgar Bennett said in a letter to village water users.

On Wednesday, Bennett said the meeting is important because “people have got to understand we have to solve the algal blooms issue before the summer.”
