A leaking water tower will prompt a temporary loss of water pressure, or possibly water service in parts of Seneca County on Thursday.
Seneca County Highway Superintendent Roy Gates said in a phone call on Wednesday that the scheduled work would begin with a shutoff of service around 8 am on Thursday.
He said that those living in Fayette or Varick water districts would be impacted, but that not all of those inside the district will lose water service completely.
He said that the water tower located at Hillside will be worked on throughout the day, and should be operational again by late-afternoon.
