An Ithaca woman was taken into custody during a traffic stop early Sunday morning by Cortland County Sheriff's deputies for allegedly driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
Deputies noticed a vehicle driven by Sara J. Anderson, 41, fail to stop at a stop sign at the corner of Luker and McLean roads in the Town of Cortlandville at 3: 52 a.m.
According to the sheriff's office, a deputy found Anderson to be intoxicated and she then fought with officers – kicking, shoving, and pushing them – as they were taking her into custody.
