A 17-year-old Dryden resident was indicted on sex abuse charges after allegedly having sex with a child less than 11-years-old.
Police say that Kevin Wydick Jr., of Dryden admitted to sexually abusing the child in the Village of Dryden during a video interview. However, additional details of that interview were not released by law enforcement.
A Superior Court warrant was issued for his arrest following the sealed indictment. Authorities say that Wydick was taken into custody on the charges of first-degree criminal sex act, third-degree sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Two of those charges are felonies, carrying several year maximum sentences if convicted.
He was arraigned in Tompkins County Court and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail, according to police.
