Seneca Meadows continues tradition of recycling Christmas trees

Seneca Meadows, Inc. announced the company’s 20th year recycling Christmas trees.

The program, which began in 1998 with drop-off locations at the IGA in Seneca Falls and the Waterloo Walmart, was designed to provide a recycling outlet for residents who do not have curbside pick-up for holiday trees. This year’s program collected 60 cubic yards of trees, at the Waterloo Walmart, from December 26 through January 9. The trees will be mulched with other yard waste and applied at the Seneca Meadows facility.

Kyle Black, Seneca Meadows district manager said, “Seneca Meadows is pleased to provide this long-standing service to our community, and we are proud to partner with the Waterloo Walmart. Their convenient drop-off location makes it easy for community members to take part in this valuable program.”
