Speakers announced for upcoming Women’s March in Seneca Falls

A state Senate candidate and former Syracuse mayoral hopeful are among those scheduled to speak at the upcoming women's march in Seneca Falls.

The per-Sisters for Women's Equality rally will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Women's Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls. The event will commemorate the one-year anniversary of the first women's marches that were held around the world in the aftermath of President Donald Trump's inauguration.

More than 10,000 people attended last year's march in Seneca Falls.

The conveners for the 2018 event include Sally Roesch Wagner, executive director of the Matilda Joslyn Gage Center for Social Justice Dialogue, Haudenosaunee Bear Clan Mother Louise Herne and Brandi Taylor, a singer and student at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

The speaking lineup will include Karen King, Tammy Mills, Rev. Leah Ntuala, Nadia Sharam, Arlette Miller Smith and Yvonne Taylor.
