Part of Cole & Parks property to remain standing with new car wash plan

The Daniele family plans to keep a historic portion of the former Cole & Parks building standing as part of their modified development plans for a car wash at the Victor site.

The local developers have been in talks with the town for over a year about building a car wash at the corner of Rowley Road and Route 96, which is considered a gateway into the town of Victor, with easy access to Interstate 490 and the Thruway.

The corner houses an 1813 historic homestead called Park Place, which is one of the oldest houses in the Ontario County town, said town historian Babette Huber via email. The property was ranked by the Landmark Society of Western New York as a building of high historical significance. Structural additions have been built over several decades, and the building operated in recent years as Cole & Parks restaurant, which closed last March.
