Snow, mainly after 8pm. Low around 24. East wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
The National Weather Service and other local forecasters are coming together on what is expected Sunday. The daytime hours will present the best travel period for those looking to get around on Christmas Eve Day. During the evening hours, and into the overnight — conditions will worsen. Forecasters are predicting just a few inches of snowfall for those living in the Finger Lakes. While those living along Lake Ontario will see more. Those in the Western Finger Lakes are also expected to see more snowfall, according to the National Weather Service. Snow likely before 9am, then a chance of snow showers between 9am and 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 28. Breezy, with a west wind 11 to 16 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
