Sennett passes resolution for supervisor to advance sewage contract talks with Auburn

The Sennett Town Board approved a resolution on Tuesday to allow town Supervisor Peter Adams to sign and execute a sewage contract with the city of Auburn that would also include the towns of Owasco and Fleming.

Sennett has been working on finalizing a contract with Auburn for nearly two years for the collection and treatment of sewage and wastewater from the towns and their various sewer districts.

The inter-municipal agreement between the towns and the city is titled “Municipal Cooperation Agreement for Sewer Service to Wholesale Customers” and establishes the conditions of the agreement and all of the parties' responsibilities and obligations.
