The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team held of Maryland in the Carrier Dome, 72-70, on Monday night in the opening game of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Tyus Battle led Syracuse with 18 points. Two Syracuse players recorded double-doubles. Freshman Oshae Brissett finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds while point guard Frank Howard tallied 15 points and 10 assists.
