The Orange are back in the Carrier Dome Saturday after nearly a month to Wake Forest. Kickoff between the Orange and Demon Deacons is scheduled for 3:04 p.m. on RSN.
It’s also Military Appreciation Day and Syracuse Athletics has arranged for several military-themed recognitions that will take place throughout the game. One of the most special is this week’s “Hometown Hero” presentation. Saturday’s honoree is Mike Chemotti, one of the oldest living Syracuse University veterans. A native of nearby Solvay, N.Y. and walk-on football player for Syracuse in 1936, Chemotti is 103 years old. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942 following the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
