Woman sentenced for selling heroin, fentanyl in Cayuga County

When Cynthia Jedra was arrested in 2016, the Cayuga County district attorney said police were shocked to find hundreds of doses of synthetic fentanyl at her Auburn residence. There were also several glassine envelopes of heroin, more than 30 pounds of marijuana and various drug paraphernalia throughout the home.

Jedra, of 35 Quill Ave. Apt. X317, was initially indicted and charged with five felonies, including criminal sale and possession of narcotics and marijuana. However, in July, the 50-year-old pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, in full satisfaction of the indictment.

On Tuesday, Jedra appeared in Cayuga County criminal court for sentencing, and District Attorney Jon Budelmann described exactly what police found when they searched Jedra’s apartment at Oak Creek Townhomes last year.
