Deputies: Romulus woman wanted in Florida for grand theft auto

Deputies say a traffic stop around 1 am in Ovid led to the arrest of a Romulus woman who was wanted in Florida for stealing a car.

Wentisha Collier, 22, of Romulus was taken into custody after the traffic stop on State Route 96A after it was discovered she had an active arrest warrant from Brevard County, Florida for grand theft auto.



Collier was arraigned in Lodi Town Court as a fugitive from justice. Deputies say she was also issued traffic tickets.

She was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on no bail, and currently awaits extradition to Florida.
