Four face felony charges after meth lab bust in Montour Falls

The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of four individuals who are accused of manufacturing methamphetamine at the Romeo Village Apartments on Broadway St. in the Village of Montour Falls.

Deputies say the Montour Falls Fire Department was called to the scene of a fire alarm on August 4th around 2:34 am, and while there — discovered suspicious items.

After executing a search warrant, investigators charged four individuals with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine — a Class D felony.



Those charged included:

– Daniel E. Decker, 52, of Montour Falls;
– Melissa L. Oquendo, 32, of Montour Falls;
– Kevin J. Teed, 54, of Watkins Glen; and
– Rachel J. Pyhtila, 19, of Montour Falls.

All four were arraigned in Montour Falls Village Court and remanded to the Schuyler County Jail.

The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Evidence Recovery Team assisted at the scene, as well.
