Multiple fire departments in Cayuga County were called to Peters Dairy Farm for the report of a barn fire in Auburn.
Scanner traffic indicates that Poplar Ridge, Scipio, and Aurora Fire Departments, as well as Aurelius RIT Team, and Southern Cayuga Ambulance were called to the area of Route 34 and Gary Rd. for a reported barn fire.
When Poplar Ridge arrived on scene, they confirmed that smoke was showing from the exterior.
After just a few moments, crews were able to control the fire that was present. Mutual aide units were told they could hold in place.
The cause of the fire was not determined and this story will be updated as more information becomes available.
