A 19-year-old Phelps man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on State Routes 5&20 in the area of Gauss Rd.
Deputies say a truck operated by Nichalos M. Westfall, 19, of Phelps was observed swerving between the lane he was in and the center line. He was also said to be tailgating the vehicle in front of him.
He was found to be intoxicated and charged with DWI, DWI per se, failure to keep right and following too closely.
Deputies said Westfall was issued traffic citations and will answer the charges in East Bloomfield Town Court.
