Penn Yan rolls to another Section V boys’ lax title, this time in Class D over Waterloo

Penn Yan fans are wearing T-shirts this year that read “Tradition Doesn’t Graduate.”

“No it doesn’t,” Penn Yan coach Brian Hobart said with a smile.

Neither does the utter domination the Mustangs’ boys lacrosse program wields in Section V year after year after year, no matter what class it competes in.

Wednesday afternoon at St. John Fisher College, Penn Yan defeated overmatched Waterloo, 13-6, for the Class D championship, the first title game contested in a class that was added this year for the smallest enrollment schools.
