The weather forecast has been changing by the hour throughout the holiday weekend. So far, the region has lucked out and avoided the rain that was expected. With one more day left in the three-day weekend, can we go for a clean-sweep? The FingerLakes1.com Local Weather Center forecast for Monday says that’s highly doubtful…
Memorial Day
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 7am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 7am and 3pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 75. South wind 7 to 13 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Monday Night
A slight chance of showers between midnight and 1am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 56. West wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
