Seneca Falls man charged with obstructing during mental health investigation

On Sunday at 2:21 am members of the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a town resident following an attempted mental health emergency.

Leslie Roe, 61, of Seneca Falls is accused of attempting to prevent officers from arresting himself and another individual.

Police say they were called to Van Renssalaer St. for a mental health emergency. While investigating the emergency, police say that Roe intentionally prevented officers from investigating the call by physical force.

In all, officers say he was charged with one count of obstructing governmental administration and two counts of resisting arrest.

He was processed and arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court. Roe was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility.
