Some people may think cats are self-centered and selfish. They may in fact be so. However, the loss of their human(s), whether it is through death, getting lost on a walk or if their owner is unable to care for them anymore, can bring a lonely void to a once happy and playful cat.
MILKDUD
Recent arrival Milkdud is recuperating from his very recent neutering. This young, malnourished looking man was found wandering the streets. A very handsome black and silver Maltese Tabby, Milkdud has striking, characteristic swirls in his fur. Right now, he is happy to have found a safe haven. Estimated to be 1 year old, Milkdud is up to date on his vaccinations, micro-chipped, and tested negative for FIV and Fe-Leuk.
BATMAN
Batman has been at BAS since his loving owner passed away in November. Since his arrival, Batman has made friends with some resident cats there. But, this sweet brown and black tiger, who loves people, is hoping he will find a new furever home soon. Batman is 3 years old, neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, micro-chipped, and tested negative for FIV and Fe-Leuk.
BRIGHT-EYES
Thought to be 4 to 5 years, beautiful, golden-eyed Bright-Eyes arrived in March after her owner also passed away. She is a friendly, cuddly girl who is looking forward to very soon having someone to love again. Bright-Eyes is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, micro-chipped, and tested for FIV and Fe-Leuk.

The Thirteenth Annual Beverly Animal Shelter Yard Sale is scheduled for June 1, 2 and 3, from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the Rodman Lott & Son Farm (Empire Farm Days site); 2973 Route 414, Seneca Falls.
Good, clean, usable items will be accepted for the sale at Lott’s every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 4:00pm beginning April 22. Please no clothing, shoes, TVs, computer equipment or stuffed animals.

The Beverly Animal Shelter is currently offering potential “barn” cats – neutered/spayed and vaccinated, friendly, outdoor cats who are good mousers, for $10. Please contact the Shelter for more information.
The new Integrated Veterinary Service has begun at the Beverly Animal Shelter. Although held only once or twice a month, the long wait for spay or neutering has been greatly reduced! Call the Shelter to make your appointment. They are now taking reservations.

Unfortunately, The Purina Pets for Seniors Fund has been DISCONTINUED. However, BAS is attempting to continue Senior adoptions on an individual basis through the generosity of others.

Why not take the opportunity to spend some playtime with your favorite canine. The Dave Pullen Memorial Dog Park at the Beverly Animal Shelter is open Monday-Saturday, 10am-4pm. It is located on the front center grounds at the Shelter and has a double-gated entrance. It is free to the public (though the Shelter always appreciates any donations!), but we do require you to stop by the shelter staff (at the store) to show proof of rabies and distemper vaccinations. We want everyone, including your dog safe! We also ask that you please clean up after your dog. Come on out and give your pup a chance to run off lead in a safe and enclosed environment!

Please keep in mind when you enter the Shelter grounds, to adhere to the 5mph speed limit. A very sweet but deaf cat that had lived at the shelter for 17 years was killed because someone sped through the drive.
Dallyn, along with the ASPCA, would like to remind all cat owners of the importance (after spay and neutering) of cat collars (safety or breakaway) with proper identification for outdoor cats. The Shelter is overwhelmed by “found” but unclaimed cats. The hope of the Shelter is to be able to reunite the lost felines with their owners. Many types of collars are available for cats. Please, if you have lost your dog or cat, DO CALL the shelter. Do not wait for an advertisement of “found dog/cat” to appear in the newspaper.
Please be a responsible pet owner. Spay and neuter your pets to prevent more unwanted animals. ONLY YOU can prevent the overflow of kittens that begins each Spring and carries on into the Fall.
