A former National League MVP is expected to be playing at Frontier Field this week.
First baseman Ryan Howard, 37, who starred for the Philadelphia Phillies for 13 seasons, made his debut for Gwinnett Braves on Saturday and should be in the lineup when Atlanta’s top farm club faces the Rochester Red Wings for three games on Tuesday (6:35 p.m.), Wednesday (1:35 p.m.) and Thursday (11:05 a.m.).
