The Ithaca Kiwanis Club recognized the Groton and Dryden police departments during its officer of the month recognition luncheon on Monday at Kendal at Ithaca.
Sitting at the recognition table were Lt. Tim Williams of the Groton Police Department; Mackenzie Covert, a patrol officer for the Dryden Police Department; and Deb Lawrence, a part-time sergeant for the Dryden Police Department. They were joined at the table by Kiwanis Club President Mimi Melegrito and Tompkins District Attorney Matt Van Houten.
Other officers from the departments, as well as other agencies attended the luncheon.
The Dryden and Groton police departments were recognized for their service to their communities.
