A Sodus pair has been charged in the death of a horse, according to deputies in Wayne County.
Amanda Mills, 28, and Steven Jernigan, 40, are facing charges in the case, which were made official on Tuesday.
Mills was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, while Jernigan was charged with overdriving, torturing and injuring animals.
Deputies say Mills and Jernigan did not feed or give water to the horse, causing its death. They were issued appearance tickets in the case.
The charges will be answered in Sodus Town Court at a later date.
