Reports detail campaign contributions to Seneca Falls board candidates

Campaign finance reports filed with the state Board of Elections show that the two Republicans elected to the Town Board last fall raised and spent more than $4,000 on their campaigns.

One, Thomas Ruzicka, spent $4,414.92 — $4,000 of which was received from Waste Connections Inc., the parent company of Seneca Meadows Landfill.

The 27-day post-election report shows Waste Connections made four $1,000 donations to Ruzicka on Dec. 1, 2016.

Ferrara, meanwhile, raised more than $9,500 but said he did not receive any contributions from Seneca Meadows or associated business entities. Lutz and Sarratori did not file reports because they raised and spent less than $1,000.
