Waterloo woman involved in smuggling incident at jail

On March 17th at approximately 6:05 pm deputies in Seneca County arrested a Waterloo woman after an altercation with an officer at the Seneca County Correctional Facility.

Deputies say that Christina A. Strally, 38, of Waterloo attempted to smuggle a narcotic drug into the facility while confined as an inmate.

An alert correction officer at the facility identified, located, and seized the item from Strally.

Deputies say Strally then took the item forcibly from the officer and swallowed the pill. She was monitored the rest of the evening by medical staff.

Strally was charged with tampering with physical evidence, a Class E felony, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and promoting prison contraband.

She was issued appearance tickets and will answer these charges at a later date in Romulus Town Court.
