Area flights already delayed, cancelled ahead of winter storm

If you’re trying to get out of the area ahead of Monday night’s major winter storm — the clock is ticking.

As of noontime, thousands of flights had already been delayed or cancelled in Rochester, Syracuse and Ithaca. With connecting flights to major hubs along the east coast — plenty are prepping for days of bogged down travel.

New York City and Boston are both prepping for blizzard conditions over the next 72 hours, which puts airlines in the position of playing catchup the rest of the week.
