The Ontario County Sheriff’s Department reports that on Monday around 11:36 am deputies responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident at the intersection of County Rd. 28 and Shortsville Rd.
Deputies say that Paul Cody, 69, of Shortsville was traveling west on Shortsville Rd. when he failed to yield the right of way pulling out in front of William Lechle, 64, of Galeton.
Lechle was operating a 2001 Freightliner tractor-trailer.
Cody was transported to the Golisano Center for Emergency Medicine to be checked over. He complained of rib pain at the time of the accident.
He was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way.
