Electronics company expanding in Victor

A UK-based electronics company is investing $11 million in its Ontario County subsidiary to create a new shared services center, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday.

Ultra Electronics will build its shared services center at its Ontario County subsidiary, Flightline Electronics Inc., at 7625 Omnitech Place.

The center will serve Ultra’s North American operations in both the United States and Canada. It will create 80 new jobs over the next four years and retain 198 jobs statewide, 77 of which are in Victor.

With this decision, Ultra will consolidate business functions across its 12 North American companies and create a shared services model for the common “back-office” functions.
