Two charged after drug bust on Pulteney St. in Geneva

On March 2nd around 9 am the Geneva Police Department was called to 115 Pulteney St. Apt. 2 for a reported narcotics complaint.

Upon investigation two suspects were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Heroin, which was packaged for sale was seized from the home — as well as U.S. currency.

32-year-old Matthew S. Bermon, of Stanley, and 32-year-old Mindy L. Vanburen, of Stanley and Geneva respectively were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Bermon’s charge was a Class B felony, and due to three previous felony arrests — he was held on no bail.

Vanburen was held on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 secured bond.
