A letter sent home to parents of Waterloo High School students warns of a police investigation involving a teacher at the school.

Allegations have been made against a high school teacher, although the teacher in question is not being identified at this time and it is unclear what kind of allegations have been made. In the letter, Principal Susan Burgess advised that no student has “been physically harmed.”

New York state police have taken over the investigation. No further information is available at this time.

“Please be assured that we are doing everything to ensure the safety and well-being of all Waterloo students,” Burgess wrote in the letter, adding, “(we) will update you when we are permitted to do so.”
