An Auburn man who recently admitted to passing counterfeit money in Cayuga County has been charged with another felony.
Mathew L. Danforth, formerly of 131 E. Genesee St., was arrested last summer and charged with two counts each of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and first-degree falsifying business records and one count each of petit larceny and fifth-degree conspiracy. In December, the 26-year-old pleaded guilty to the two counts of possessing a forged instrument — class C felonies — telling Judge Mark Fandrich he passed around $300 in fake cash at Wal-Mart on Grant Avenue in April 2016.
