At a recent Newark Rotary Club meeting, Courtney Caralla, a 2016 Newark High School graduate, was awarded the $1,400 Charles Baldwin Rotary Service Scholarship. Courtney is currently a freshman at Keuka College studying early-childhood education. At college, as in high school, Courtney is involved in several service oriented clubs such as Rotaract.
She was recognized for her extensive dedicated volunteer work while in high school. The award is named after Mr. Charles Baldwin, who was Secretary of the Newark Rotary Club Secretary for most of his over fifty years of membership in the club.
