Syracuse can’t hang in Chapel Hill, falls 85-69 (full coverage)

Sophomore Tyler Lydon was one of three Orange to score in double figures to lead Syracuse in its 85-68 setback at No. 9 North Carolina on ESPN’s Big Monday broadcast. The Orange go 11-8 overall, 3-3 in ACC play, while the Tar Heels improve to 17-3, 5-1 in league action.

Lydon was 11-of-14 from the field, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range on his way to a game-high 26 points. That total was just three shy of his career high set earlier this season against Georgetown. Graduate student Andrew White III added 15 points, and freshman Tyus Battle finished with 13 points to go along with a career-high four steals. Senior Tyler Roberson led the Orange on the boards with eight, while Lydon was right behind with seven. More at Cuse.com
