Deputies in Wayne County arrested Eddie L. Murphy Jr., 34, of Lyons after a traffic stop for speeding.
Deputies say that Murphy did not have a driver’s license and those privileges had been suspended in New York State. That suspension was due to a driving while intoxicated by drugs conviction. He was found to also be in possession of hydrocodone pills, which had not been prescribed to him.
Murphy was arraigned in Rose Town Court for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation, and speeding.
Murphy was remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,500 bond schedule to appear at a later date to answer the charges.
