The Geneva Police Department reports that on Wednesday around 11:20 pm officers arrested three men after a traffic stop in the parking lot at Express Mart on North Exchange Street.
Officers say that $25,000 to $30,000 of uncut heroin was seized from the vehicle, as well as over 100 bags of heroin packaged for sale. Officers say that money was also seized during the arrests.
Juan A. Castro-Gonzales, 33, of Geneva was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance — a Class A-II felony. Officers say Gonzales was out on bail from an August 16th arrest where he was found to be in possession of 22 bags of cocaine, packaged for sale.
Jonathan Torres, 31, of Geneva and Geraldo L. Cruz-Tolentino, 33, of Geneva were both charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance — a Class A-II felony, as well.
Torres was also arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant for drug offenses in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
All three were held on no bail due to the A-II felony level charges.
