Surplus equipment up for bid in the Union Springs Central School District

The Union Springs Central School District is getting rid of surplus education equipment and supplies in order to prepare for the 2017-2018 transition school year during which fifth grade will move up to the middle school and fourth grade will move to Cayuga Elementary while renovations at A.J. Smith Elementary take place.

Selling surplus items will help the district free up space, as well as collect cash for old and out-of-date items the schools are not using and have no plans to use in the future. Just some of the surplus items the district is hoping to sell include old tables and chairs, old file cabinets, wood desks, electric typewriters, out-of-date maps, and much more.

New items will be added frequently and will be available for bidding for a week. Bids will be accepted at the Union Springs District Office at 239 Cayuga Street, Union Springs, or by email at [email protected] and should include the bidder’s full name, LOT #, and Item #.

The highest bidder will be contacted within a few days after bidding for an item has closed, and the winning bidder is responsible for picking up items.
