One woman was sent to the hospital with back pain after a two car crash at the intersection of State Routes 14 and 96 in the Town of Phelps on Thursday.
The accident occurred around 3:38 pm and occurred when a vehicle operated by Kimberly Cook, 51, of Rochester used the exit ramp from State Route 96 to enter onto State Route 14 when she was struck from behind by a vehicle operated by Jennifer Mastrangelo, 33, of Farmington.
Cook’s passenger, who was identified as Ashley Fair, 27, of Rochester was transported to Geneva General Hospital with back pain.
Mastrangelo was issued a citation for following too closely. She will answer the charge at a later date in Phelps Town Court.
