Sampson State Park adding higher-end cottages

Rustic is a word that comes to mind when describing camping options at New York state parks. However, it wouldn’t be the best way to describe new cottages being built at Sampson State Park.

On Monday, state officials, including Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul and Parks Commissioner Rose Harvey, announced the 2,000-acre park off Route 96A on the east side of Seneca Lake will have 10 higher-end cottages available for rent for the 2017 season.
