Before I wrote this article, I took a quick look through my past Eco Talks. I was looking at what I’d written before on climate change, on how many times I’d discussed how we’d just seen the warmest year, the warmest month, the highest concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, etc. There are moments I missed, but generally, whenever we break a new climate record, I write about it. I do this not to depress anybody, but rather because if we don’t remind ourselves, it can be easy to forget what a trend we are on.
