On July 15th deputies in Seneca County were called to 8674 Lodi Covert Townline Road for the report of a house fire. When deputies arrived on scene they observed heavy smoke and flames coming from the residence. Deputies say both home owners were out of the house at the time of the fire, and the two occupants were identified as Michael and Jennie Cuson. The investigation determined that the cause of the fire was unattended food, which was cooking in the kitchen.The home was covered by insurance, which was valued at approximately $150,000. Lodi, Interlaken, Ovid, Romulus, Varick and South Seneca Ambulance all assisted at the scene.
