Man flees police in Waterloo, Falls woman charged also

A Seneca Falls woman and a male with no permanent address were arrested on Sunday by Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies following a traffic stop on Hecker Road in Waterloo. Deputies observed a vehicle being operated by Courtney B. Bower, 18, of Seneca Falls when they observed John J. Pisano, 29, in the passenger seat. Deputies had knowledge that Pisano was actively being sought out of the Village of Waterloo for a felony assault that took place in April. When deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, Pisano fled on foot in the area of Hecker Road, taking off into a field near Brewer Road. He continued to flee through an open field and eventually made it into a hedgerow before being caught by deputies. He was then turned over to the Waterloo Police Department for further court action.Bower was charged with hindering prosecution in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Bower allegedly knew there was an active felony warrant for Pisano’s arrest and continued to provide him with transportation. She also allegedly possessed a quantity of heroin.She was released on appearance tickets and will appear in Waterloo Town Court to answer the charges in June. Deputies were assisted by New York State Police and the Waterloo Police Department at the scene.
