Fayette man charged with harassment after altercation

On May 11th deputies in Seneca County report that a Fayette man was arrested and charged with harassment in the second degree. Deputies arrested Matthew J. Haws, 29, of Fayette for harassment in the second degree this week following an incident back on April 30th at a residence in the Town of Waterloo. Haws allegedly struck a female during an altercation, resulting in minor injuries.Haws was arraigned in Waterloo Town Court and was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear on May 27th to answer the charge, and an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
